Welcome to the Chem 131-MWF Homepage. Chemistry 131-MWF is one of two introductory chemistry offerings given at UR, the other being Chemistry 131-TR. Both courses have the title Chemical Concepts, Systems and Practices and both provide a sound foundation for students in chemistry and molecular science. The courses serve equally well for students majoring in physical or biological sciences and/or engineering. Other than the class meeting time, the main differences between these two courses is the use of WORKSHOPS in Chemistry 131-MWF. You can read a brief description of this learning method at WorkShops. Cheminstry 131- MWF and Chemistry 131-TR use the same text and cover the same material but each professor will present this material in their own way. We Have Moved to Blackboard!! We have made the transition to Blackboard. All course management functions including announcements and assignments will be made through the Blackboard interface. You can log on to your personal Blackboard page via the link my.rochester.edu. For a brief view of the nuts and bolts of the course please follow the course outline link on the top left.
